Other than having to take it a little slower now and then I haven't seen too many developments from last week. I seem to have a ton of energy for about 2 hours when I get up. After that, it quickly diminishes and I either need to refuel with lunch or take a quick nap. Either tends to work at keeping me going the rest of the day. But about 10 PM, I am again really tired and start heading to bed. Sometimes if I nap and eat a good lunch I can make it to midnight without yawning, but that is a rare occasion. Many of you might be saying, "duh, you're tired at 10PM. It's 10PM!" But for David and me, this is a 3 hour earlier bedtime than pre-pregnancy since David works a later shift.
According to babycenter.com the baby is supposed to weigh 3/4 of a pound and measure 10 1/2 inches long (about the length of a carrot). While that's great and all, I am apparently growing a giant and my little peanut is already passed that point. I'm pretty sure it should be at a pound by now since last week we were only one ounce away from that milestone. Crazy to think in 4 months the little tyke will likely septuple in size (yes that's seven times as much)! And if I'm similar to my best friend Jess, the baby will grow nine times what it is now! Talk about big watermelons!
The baby has officially formed its eyebrows and lids this week. And it is kicking like a little ninja. Can't complain too much because I love knowing that our peanut is healthy and kicking. Sometimes, like when I'm eating, I would love it if the little one would cool it so I could eat without getting punched in the stomach. Oh well.
After a few suggestions from friends and family, I think David and I would like to get an ultrasound picture ornament for our tree this year. I have found a few online, but have no idea where to find one in an actual store. Any suggestions? Here is an example of one that I could buy online:
