Our peanut at 12 weeks! |
They weren't too worried about that but just in case they made sure I was eating 6 meals a day from now on. Yup, you heard that right. 6 meals! And let me tell you, the baby knows when it's time to eat too! Every hour and a half to two hours after eating, the baby makes Mommy queasy as if to announce that feeding time is here. After I realized this was my baby's "feeding" schedule, David and I have tried to keep one eye on the clock to stay ahead of the sicky feeling.
My meal plan for the week. See the 6 meals everyday?! And I thought planning 3 meals a day was hard!! |
By the end of last week, the baby's fingerprints have formed. She or He was the size of a medium shrimp from head to bottom and weighs nearly an ounce. As of today, I am 14 weeks. Aside from still having to pee all the time, most of my first trimester symptoms are gone. I have found a new best friend in TUMS. I continue to pop them like skittles after anything acidic, spicy, or greasy. Hello HEARTBURN. Ugh... But the bright side is that by this week the baby can squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck its thumb. The baby now measures 3 1/2 inches and is similar in length to a lemon.

All in all, everything is feeling as good as it can be and we're just hoping our lil peanut is growing healthy and strong!
Happy hump day everyone!
