D's Corner- Sports

I'd like to take a few and talk about some random things.  This will be known as D's Corner, where I will chat about who knows what each week.  So stay tuned for some amazing posts that will rival the wifey.....hehe!  This weeks topic: Sports

Let's talk football.....yes football, the best sport on earth.  I love watching football, playing football, playing football video games, and fantasy football teams.  My favorite team of course is UGA.  And I have to give props to the #5 ranked Bulldogs.  They have done a bang up job this year.  Murray, our quarterback always worries me.  He can be really good and really bad.  Our running back duo is a force to be reckoned with.  They're calling them "Gurshall," and they consist of Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall.  The best part of the whole thing, is that they are freshmen!  Would love to have these guys for 3 more years.  We have a tough test on Saturday coming up.  We are playing #6 South Carolina at South Carolina.  I really hope we can pull out the win.  The game is at 7pm on Saturday and I will be at work of course.  We'll be turing a lot of the tv's on at work to the game, so I'll be able to catch some of it.  So everyone needs to wear their red and black on Saturday and GOOOOOOOOO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!

I've always been a fan of baseball, but I've recently lost some interest.  I'm not exactly sure why but it just doesn't do it for me anymore.  I've always done fantasy baseball and I did a a league this year, but stopped paying attention early on.  The interesting thing is that I've become more interested in basketball, more specifically, the NBA.  Maybe it's due to the basketball video games which are amazing, or maybe it's because all the guys at work talk about basketball.  Either way, I've become a fan, and have been slowing trying to get Katie to like it as well.  I've been introducing her to the players, teams, and fantasy basketball.  I think she's coming around slowly.  As an Orlando Magic fan, I'm sad that Dwight Howard got traded to the Lakers but I'm also glad that he's gone.  It sucks that Orlando doesn't have a superstar anymore, but it's good that we can rebuild with a new team and new players.  I would have preferred if we got some really good players like if he went to the Houston Rockets and we got Kevin Martin.  But instead, Dwight went to the Lakers and I'm not a big fan of the Lakers.  Oh well.  This year should be an interesting one and I'm looking forward to seeing what unfolds.

That's all for this week, folks.  Stay tuned for next week!
